Jan O'Brien has 35+ years of leadership, real estate brokerage, real estate training, business and coaching experience. She proudly served as a Captain & UH-60 Blackhawk pilot in the U.S. Army from 1984-92. During her 28+ year real estate career, she has served at all levels from sales associate, branch manager, team leader, corporate broker, general manager to franchise development and coaching for the two largest and most productive companies in Las Vegas.
In July 2018, Jan co-founded and served as COO for the Las Vegas brokerage Home Connect America. The firm grew from 50 agents to over 125 within 18 months of opening its doors with closed sales volume of over $95 million in 2019.
Jan is also the Team Leader for the O'Brien Morabbi Team providing exceptional service and years of experience in the Las Vegas/ Henderson Real Estate market. The team is Client-Focused and Technology-Powered. Her team believes in serving their client's needs first and foremost to become the trusted advisors. They integrate the power and efficiency of technology to deliver an experience and results that exceeds our client's expectations.
Jan is a certified instructor for Nevada continuing education and is the author or co-author of a series of training classes and a sort sale certification course. She is the co-founder of a real estate training and coaching company (WBNL Coaching) and co-hosts the weekly Wandering But Not Lost Podcast – Where Real Estate and Reality Meet.
Jan has provided business coaching and consulting to more than 100 top producing real estate sales executives and teams to establish and use effective business and real estate systems. She has trained and coached 1000's of real estate professionals on topics ranging from business planning and lead generation to real estate social media.
Previous Experience:
Jan worked with Realty ONE Group from October 2010to August 2015 as a Corporate Broker/Branch Manager in Las Vegas, NV. She served as VP of Business Coaching for Realty ONE Group, General Manager for Nevada and Corporate Broker during her tenure from 2010-2015. During that time period, Realty ONE Group, a full-service real estate brokerage with over 7,500 Associates (over 1,400 in Nevada), is #1 in Nevada (in Size – in Sales $ – in Transaction volume) and the fastest-growing real estate company in Arizona and California. Ranked #5 nationally by RealTrends for closed units and #6 for sales volume in 2014. Realty ONE Group continues to franchise across the country and now has 12,000 real estate professionals in over 255-plus locations in 39 states, Washington D.C. and Canada (Jan. 2020)
Jan worked with Prudential Americana Group, Realtors in Las Vegas from 1992 to 2009 as a sales executive, broker-manager and from 2007-2009, as the General Manager responsible for recruiting, coaching and leadership training of the management team and 6 branch offices with nearly 1,200 sales executives. In 2008, the company ranked 8th in the network of over 650 brokerages.
In July 2009, Jan started her own training, coaching and consultant business. Her clients include individual real estate agents, team leaders, brokers and small business owners. She co-authored the (CFAC) Designation Course with her training partner Steven Kitnick. As of May 2009, they have certified more that 900 Nevada real estate professionals as CFACs and/or Certified Short-Sale Professionals (CSP).
